Medically supervised platelet-rich plasma therapy in North Wales — harnessing your body's own regenerative power
PRP Therapy in North Wales
PRP — platelet-rich plasma therapy — is one of the most exciting developments in regenerative medicine. By extracting a small amount of your own blood, processing it to concentrate the growth factors in the platelets, and reinjecting it into targeted areas, PRP stimulates the body's natural healing and regenerative processes. At zenvité, our PRP therapy is medically led and clinically assessed — a very different experience from high-street aesthetics clinics offering the same treatment without proper oversight.
We use PRP for a range of applications including hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing, joint pain and musculoskeletal conditions, and post-surgical or sports injury recovery. All PRP treatments at zenvité are preceded by a thorough GP assessment to determine suitability, discuss expected outcomes, and ensure you're the right candidate for the procedure.
Because your treatment draws on your body's own biology, you can feel confident in the safety and natural approach of PRP therapy. There are no foreign substances, no synthetic fillers, and allergic reactions are extremely rare.
Our PRP clinic is based at St. Asaph Business Park, serving patients across North Wales including Rhyl, Prestatyn, Denbigh, Llandudno, and Wrexham.

Questions?
How does PRP work?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) works by concentrating the growth factors naturally present in your blood platelets and delivering them directly to target tissues. This stimulates cell regeneration, collagen production, and healing responses.
Is PRP effective for hair loss?
Yes. PRP has a good evidence base for androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern hair loss). A course of 3 sessions is typically recommended, with maintenance sessions thereafter. Best results are seen in earlier stages of hair loss.
How many sessions will I need?
For hair restoration and skin rejuvenation, we typically recommend a course of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every 6–12 months.
Is the procedure painful?
PRP involves a blood draw and injections, which can cause some discomfort. We use topical anaesthetic cream and fine-gauge needles to minimise this. Most patients find the procedure very tolerable.
How soon will I see results?
Hair restoration results typically become visible 3–6 months after starting treatment, as the hair growth cycle takes time to respond. Skin rejuvenation results may be visible sooner — within 4–8 weeks.
Are there any side effects?
Because PRP uses your own blood, allergic reactions are extremely rare. Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at injection sites is normal and typically resolves within 24–48 hours.
