TrueCheck™ Intelli Cancer Screening
Early multi-cancer detection — from a single blood test
TrueCheck Intelli — Advanced Cancer Detection in North Wales
TrueCheck™ Intelli is an advanced multi-cancer early detection blood test that detects Circulating Tumour Cells (CTCs) and clusters (C-ETACs) shed by malignant tumours. These are the only cells in the bloodstream that produce these markers — making TrueCheck one of the most specific cancer detection tests available.
The test uses a primary negative enrichment process: non-malignant cells undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death), allowing malignant cells to survive and be identified via multiplexed fluorescence immunocytochemistry using tissue-specific markers. This clinically validated technology can detect over 70 types of solid organ cancers, accounting for approximately 81% of all cancer cases and 84% of all cancer-related deaths in Europe. TrueCheck does not detect blood or lymphatic system cancers (leukaemia, lymphoma).
At zenvité, all TrueCheck tests are preceded by a pre-test consultation with a clinician to review your medical history and confirm suitability. Results are reviewed with you in a dedicated consultation, and any positive findings are managed with prompt specialist referral.
Important: A negative TrueCheck result does not guarantee the absence of cancer. This test should be used alongside, not as a replacement for, standard NHS screening programmes.

Cancer detected early is far more treatable than cancer detected late. TrueCheck gives you an early warning system to identify cancer signals before symptoms develop — when treatment outcomes are significantly better.
Clinically Validated Technology
TrueCheck™ Intelli uses advanced multiplexed fluorescence immunocytochemistry to identify malignant cells with 88% sensitivity and 96–99% specificity. Over 70 solid organ cancers detected in a single blood draw.
Clear, Actionable Results
Every result is reviewed by one of our GPs in a dedicated consultation. We discuss findings clearly, explain tissue of origin accuracy (96%), and manage any abnormal results with prompt specialist referral and support.

Questions?
What is TrueCheck Intelli?
TrueCheck™ Intelli is an advanced multi-cancer early detection blood test that detects Circulating Tumour Cells (CTCs) and clusters (C-ETACs) shed by malignant tumours. Using primary negative enrichment and multiplexed fluorescence immunocytochemistry, it can identify over 70 types of solid organ cancers with 88% sensitivity and 96–99% specificity.
How does the TrueCheck blood test work?
TrueCheck uses a primary negative enrichment process where non-malignant cells undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death), allowing malignant cells to survive. These are then identified using multiplexed fluorescence immunocytochemistry with tissue-specific markers. This technology detects the actual malignant cells in your blood, not just cancer-associated proteins or mutations.
Who is TrueCheck suitable for?
TrueCheck is designed for asymptomatic adults aged 40+ taking a proactive approach to cancer screening. It may be appropriate from age 35 for those with significant risk factors such as a strong family history of cancer or known genetic predisposition. Not suitable for those with current clinical or radiological suspicion of cancer, or those who have previously been diagnosed with or treated for cancer.
What does a positive result mean?
A positive TrueCheck result indicates that cancer-associated cells have been detected in your blood. This does not diagnose cancer but indicates that further investigation is warranted. Our GP will discuss the findings in detail, may identify the tissue of origin (96% accuracy), and will arrange prompt specialist referral and investigation as appropriate.
What does a negative result mean?
A negative result suggests that no cancer-associated cells were detected in your blood at the time of testing. However, a negative result does not guarantee the absence of cancer. This test should be used alongside, not as a replacement for, standard NHS screening programmes (mammography, bowel screening, cervical smear, etc.). We recommend discussing the interpretation with your GP.
Is TrueCheck covered by NHS or private insurance?
TrueCheck is a private test available through zenvité. It is not currently available on the NHS. Some private health insurance providers may offer cover depending on your policy — we recommend checking with your insurer. The full cost at zenvité is £1,195, which includes pre-test consultation, blood draw, laboratory analysis, results report, and GP results review consultation.
