Conditions & Concerns

Signs We Can Help With

Our doctor-led ADHD assessments can help identify and clarify these common presentations:

◇ Difficulty concentrating or staying on task
◇ Impulsivity and acting without thinking
◇ Disorganisation and poor time management
◇ Forgetfulness in daily activities
◇ Restlessness or difficulty sitting still
◇ Emotional dysregulation and mood swings
◇ Difficulty completing tasks and following through
◇ Relationship and workplace difficulties linked to ADHD
◇ Suspected ADHD in adults previously dismissed
For Women

Is it ADHD, perimenopause — or both?

ADHD often looks different in women — quieter, masked, and frequently unmasked by the hormonal changes of midlife. We assess both sides of the question, including a dedicated 3-hour dual ADHD & menopause assessment.

Private ADHD Assessment · All of Wales

ADHD Assessment Anywhere in Wales

If you are an adult in Wales who suspects ADHD, there are two routes. The NHS route: ask your GP for a referral to your local health board. Assessment is free, but waiting times vary significantly and are often measured in years rather than months. And unlike England, Wales has no Right to Choose scheme, so your GP cannot refer you to a private provider at NHS expense.

The private route: you can self-refer, with no GP referral needed, and assessment is typically arranged within weeks. Our assessments are carried out by GMC-registered doctors with specialist ADHD training, and every assessment is reviewed by our clinical team before the outcome is finalised.

You don't need to live near St Asaph. Assessments are available by secure video to adults anywhere in Wales, from Cardiff, Swansea and Newport to Aberystwyth, Bangor and Wrexham, or in person at our clinic just off the A55. Your report is suitable for employers, education providers and NHS handover.

Serving North Wales & Beyond

Private ADHD assessment across North Wales

Our clinic in St. Asaph is easily accessible for patients across the region. Secure video consultations are also available nationwide to adults anywhere in Wales. Travelling from Chester or Cheshire? The clinic is typically a 30–40 minute drive via the A55 — see our ADHD assessment for Chester and Cheshire. Not sure whether ADHD is the right explanation? A consultation with our private psychiatrist in North Wales is a good place to start.

Common Questions

Questions?

What does the ADHD assessment involve?

Our assessment is a thorough, structured clinical interview of up to two hours with one of our experienced doctors. We book the full time, so there's never any rush. We use validated tools including the DIVA-5 structured interview and Conners rating scales. You'll be asked about your childhood, current symptoms, and how they affect your daily life. A detailed written report is provided within days of your assessment.

Who carries out the assessment?

Assessments are conducted by our experienced doctors with specialist training in adult ADHD. We follow NICE guidelines throughout the process.

How long does it take to get a diagnosis?

The assessment appointment itself is up to two hours, and we book the full time. Your written report follows within a few days, and a 30-minute follow-up appointment — included in your fee — lets you talk through your outcome and next steps.

Can I get medication through zenvité?

Yes. If a diagnosis is made, we can discuss medication options and initiate a medication trial where appropriate. Ongoing prescriptions are managed via regular review appointments.

Will my report be accepted by employers or universities?

Our reports are detailed clinical documents suitable for use with employers, universities, and NHS services. They include a full clinical summary, diagnostic conclusions, and recommendations.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with our clinic for a private ADHD assessment.
